Full Description
Ion Jet at Hypersonic Flight Display. The ion rocket provides very low thrust
at great efficiency. First developed in the 1950s, it was later used by the
Soviet Union, and American commercial spacecraft, and was evaluated by NASA and
the National Reconnaissance Office for government missions.
