Title
National Transonic Facility - Space Shuttle Model
Full Description
This 0.01 scale model of the Space Shuttle ascent configuration is shown
installed in the National Transonic Facility at Langley. The solid-body exhaust
plume simulators attached to the orbiter and boosters indicated that the plumes
have a pronounced effect on wing loads.
