Full Description
Early "smoker" meeting at the Aircraft Engine Research Laboratory at
Cleveland, Ohio, now known as the John H. Glenn Research Center at
Lewis Field, on March 2, 1944. Edward R. Sharp developed these
informal night sessions in which engineers and scientists engaged in
freewheeling discussions about technical problems.
