President Nixon with Dr. James Fletcher and Apollo 16 Astronauts
Full Description
A model of the Apollo-Soyuz spacecraft with docking adapter is
shown to President Richard Nixon. The NASA Apollo 16 astronauts,
John W. Young, Charles M. Duke, Thomas K. Mattingly, with NASA
Administrator Dr. James C. Fletcher met with President Richard
Nixon at the White House for a progress report on the Joint U.S.
and U.S.S.R. Space Docking Project. The Apollo-Soyuz Test
Project launched three years later on July 15, 1975.
