Title
STS-51-L Debris (Airlock)
Full Description
On January 28, 1986, the Space Shuttle Challenger and her
seven-member crew were lost when a ruptured O-ring in the right
Solid Rocket Booster caused an explosion soon after launch.
Search teams later retrieved pieces from the Atlantic Ocean.
The recovered airlock, which joined the payload bay to the crew
module, rests in storage with other debris from the Shuttle's
final mission.
